The Miners Tavern

Sat Jan 27th – 8:30pm

HOUSE OF MUSIC presents;

Vonda Bouys & The Falsettos.

When Vonda Bouys first met the Falsettos, there was an explosion of false eyelashes, spectacles and skivvies.
‘Vonda Bouys and the Falsettos’ mysteriously appeared on the music scene in mid 2011. Playing 60s dance classics Vonda and the boys leave a trail of dreamy-eyed Go Go dancers behind them.
The band features Vonda Bouys (Dani Fry) on vocals, Ian Toff Riethoff on double bass, Bangin Bryn Hills on trombone, Josh Hot Lips Woods on Saxophone, Damien Woodsy Woods on keys and Ambling Al Lethlean on drums.

The ReChords

The Miners Tavern

Sat Feb 10th – 8:30pm

Ballarat will be Rockasilly so.
HOUSE OF MUSIC presents;
The ReChords.

Not what you would typically expect from a stripped down trio. These lads have a full sound for Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar and Upright Bass but it’s the 2 and 3 part harmonies and varied lead vocals that give this band it’s individuality and punch. Known for their live performance energy on stage and at times, hypnotic melodies and infectious rhythms. The song choices are as eclectic as the members that write them and it’s what gives the band it’s uniqueness and sound which, if needed, would be closely related to Americana. They’ve been influenced by Old Timey Hillbilly, Bluegrass, alternative Country, Traditional Rockabilly with hints of the classic vocal groups of the 60’s and even a twist of pop vibes.
